Banga Mary with Three Cheese Tortellini (Ricotta, Romano & Parmesan)

Tortellini (pronounced tor-teh-LEE-nee) are small pices of pasta that have been wrapped around a filling, usually a meat or cheese, though seafood, mushrooms and vegetables are also common. As legend has it, an innkeeper in Bologna viewed the goddess Venus (or Lucretia Borgia, depending on who tells the story) through the keyhole in a door. All he would make out was her navel, so he created this pasta in commemoration. Tortellini is often served in soups or with sauce. A similar pasta, tortelloni, are larger versions of tortellini.
